The Struct.Eng. designation is a special designation given to professional engineers who meet the requirements to create and manage the designs of a building’s primary structural system. The Designated Structural Engineer registration and licensing are administered by Engineers & Geoscientists BC; the information displayed on this page is purely for the convenience of SEABC members.

Exam Preparation Guidance 
The institution of Structural Engineers’ Chartered Membership Examination forms one half of the Professional Review process required for election to Chartered Membership (MIStructE).
The Examination task you with demonstrating the validity of your training and experience. Examiners must be satisfied that you have conveyed an understanding of structural engineering principles, an ability to initiate and communicate structural design and provide an effective solution to a structural design problem.
