Are you a young engineer looking to learn about the P.Eng. registration process? Or are you someone who is currently in the process of applying for your P. Eng. in BC and are curious about some best practices and tips on competency reporting for your application? This seminar will give you a better understanding of the path to licensure, law and ethics, requirements using the competency-based assessment system, and provide you with advice on how to prepare an effective application package.

Audience

Young engineers looking for guidance on professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, as well as members who wish to learn effective and helpful tips for their P.Eng. competency reporting.

Presenters:

Kevin Riederer, MaSc, P.Eng. PE, LEED AP

Kevin Riederer is an Associate at RJC Engineers, Director of SEABC, and a volunteer with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia. Within Engineers and Geoscientists BC, he plays an active role with the Credentials Committee. Kevin is also a Director of SEABC and chairs the SEABC Technical Committee.

Leila Lagroix, Program Administrator, Engineers and Geoscientists B.C.

Started in 2015, the Accredited Employer Member-in-Training Program seeks to allow employers to develop their own EIT training program, expediting the professional registration process. This allows the employer to attract and retain well trained EITs and allows the employee to receive better guidance in navigating and gaining competencies required for registration. Leila serves as the Program Administrator and provides outreach and information to employers interested in the Member-in-Training Program.
