Peter Taylor, our esteemed speaker for this Special Presentation, is the cofounder of Buckland & Taylor, now a COWI subsidiary.

Peter is a highly regarded member of the international bridge engineering community, well known for spearheading new design concepts. Most notably, Peter is responsible for the design of the Alex Fraser Bridge, which on its 1985 completion, became the world’s longest-span cable-stayed bridge.

Recently, Peter attended the IABSE Istanbul Symposium celebrating the completion of the 2023m span Canakkale Suspension Bridge across the Dardanelles. In his presentation, Peter will cover the design and construction developments in long-span suspension bridges prior to, and including, this interesting new record span bridge.
